The view from the window of a standardized hotel room offers viewers a chance to look at external motives. Via Internet, users can change the view to their own liking, and enter their own sights of Graz in the form of digitalized files. A webcam mounted in the room records the results and renders the users’ contributions visible. Thus, images and image series are highlighted mainly as experience-oriented surfaces of information and communication strategies. The work functions as a model, pointing to initiatives for the possible change of an image potential that, in practice, is largely controlled and cannot be influenced.
